Jim Ryan's Bio:

Jim is a technical "Geezer" who has a deep interest in Technology areas, Programming, Photography, et al. I have taught Unix and Linux Systems, Computer Aided Design, Programming and other technical subjects in a wide varieties of venues. Jim was the programming lead on a retrospective of Josphe Alber's work at the Guggenheim - sponsored by Apple, Yale, Pratt Institute and the Albers Foundation. Jim taught Computer Aided Design at Pratt for over 16 years and was instrumental in setting Pratt up as an AutoCAD Training Center. He also was the CTO of nobodydoes.com a startup in the Life Insurance Field. Jim was born in Jamaica, NY and at age 4 moved to West Islip, NY. He graduated from W.I. High School where he played Foootball (captain) and Lacrosse. He was also all-league, all-county and all-log island in Football. Jim's next stop was Dartmouth College where he played Lacrosse as a freshman and four years on Ivy League football teams. 1970 is notable for Dartmouth being the last Ivy League Team to be nationally ranked finishing the season ranked 13th and 19th in the AP and UPI Polls. At 6'7" and 300lbs, Jim is a gentle giant who maintained sports involvement through 2016 by refereeing High School Football and Lacrosse in NYC and Long Island.
